Track day has come and gone and....

Post by XxantwawnxX »

I have to say im disapointed but i know i can hit 12's.

Ok so i have a ZE on 7-8 PSI with an megasquirt that has not been dyno tuned yet car is gutted plus other goodies.

Here is my time slip : (

Image

As you can see my 0-60 is butt...that to be expected with street tires and stock axlesl (i baby it off the line)

So here is what ill do next time. Bump up boost to say 10 psi and get it dyno tuned..then i will hit high 12's for sure...and thats with out tire upgrades or new axles.

Oh and i would have video....but my dad is an oldie and cant operate the dang fangled DV camera!!

Get the tires and the next time you drag give yourself a good reason to get new axels. You could probably hit high 12s with them alone.

Thumbs Up =b

U SHOULD INVEST ON A PAIR OF SLICKS they will inprove ur tymes so much. u bastard on 8psi gotta love them 6cly power. i have always been on stock axles beides better to break a axle than a trans or diff. with more seat time and better tires u'll be up there in V6 mx-3 times. im aiming for high 11's this weekend will up the boost to 25psi.

Nice Job Xant!

Been following your ze and ze turbo builds or yours for some time. Once all the kinks are worked out, give us the details (parts list), and of course some videos. As there are not to many ze/turbo vid's around.

You had a 14.2 with your ze and stripped interior, right? Or was it 14.0.

I still say that time is decent. but your right 12's would be best esopecially with your setup. You trapping 110mph thats pretty damn good. I say for sure invest in a set of slicks and maybe new axles as well. LSD would be nice. have you considered the Mazdaspeed lsd mod? I'm thinking about doing it myself.

Good luck man

Hmm i have not considered LSD. I was just gonna get some better tires, but now i think im planning on upgrading the turbo to a more modern GT design also.
