There are baffles in the gas tank to prevent the fuel from slopping around too much, this slopping aroung is what affects your guage. The only way to prevent the guage from moving is to corner slowly so that the fuel doesn't move around much, or not be low on gas, so that your fuel doesn't cut off.
What do you mean bleading out. If you mean the spark plug was loose, well I would assume that it wouldn't provide a good ground for spark, as well, fuel air mixture would not be compressed, but escape that cylinder. As a result, your car would run like s#%$.
The oil in the spark plug well is probably due to a blown valve cover gasket. And I wasn't suggesting that you not make turns, just expect that your fuel guage is going to move around a bit, and that's normal, end of story.
hehe i know your not suggesting that , it just sucks = (
The gas needle going down or up during turns is normal. It wont affect the engine unless the fuel level is extremely low (like the needle is below "E" or something). If your engine cuts out during turns (with normal fuel level) then its time to replace the fuel pump and strainer.
naw its only when its low = ) thanks , but iv never experienced that with other cars

I have seen it in many Nissans, Hondas. I have also seen this in ford escort & taurus and chevy cavalier and pontiac grandam. It was especially worse in fiats & suzukis - but that was a long time ago.xboxlivemonkey wrote:naw its only when its low = ) thanks , but iv never experienced that with other carsshameem wrote:The gas needle going down or up during turns is normal. Then again - I bet with "other" cars you never take a turn at more than 20 miles/hr....
