The back looks exactly like a damn Toyota Solara, not good. The front looks tough but the rear has to be redesigned.

The back kinda ruined it for me, but the front has that RX-8 look that I quite enjoy.

Total agreement. Front = good, back = bad.

Needs bigger stock wheels, too. Those look too small in those huge wheel wells.

IMO they are copying nissan and toyota. Front looks like a new altima, rear looks like an older avalon or solara (as others already mentioned). And I agree - they had a good thing going with the mazdaspeed 6...

I guess it was good while it lasted

Looks like they went for a more normal look on the head and tail lights. I was still out for verdict on the current model's lights. The headlights looks nice, but the tails look like any other car from the past 15 years. I think I wouldn't have gone from a trendsetter to something that is going to blend right in. I think it makes the statement that Mazda was too bold and is now backing off. Which actually might be the case. The 6 and RX8 did not sell as well as they would have liked.
How many years was the MS6 made, 2? Ouch...

ummm they did.

The 2.3L in both cars is the exact same.

The turbocharged 2.3L MZR motor (in both mazdaspeed models) is the same too.

Also, (FYI) out of the two photos posted, only the top one (front shot) is actually from Mazda.

The orange car (rear shot) is an artist's guess at what it may look like based on some spy shots from a few weeks ago.

So, to say the least, it is probably not exactly what its going to look like.
