FS: B6T/DE, Hydro G25MR, Electromotive TEC 2

Post by phredren »

Hey
I was collecting parts to swap my B6T into my Protege, but I just bought an Audi A4, so I'm getting rid of all my Mazda stuff.

I've got a B6T engine that I've swapped a higher flowing B6DE cylinder head to. The engine makes perfect compression, about 155psi on all 4 cylinders, and ran beautifully last time I had it running. It has high mileage, but appeared to be in such good shape when I swapped the head that rebuilding it would have been a waste of time and money. Cross-hatching can still be seen in the bores, even after 230,000kms. It has a new head gasket (obviously), new water pump, and timing belt. Before I pulled it out of the car, I replaced the oil pan seals and had the aluminum oil pan professionally cleaned. The bottom end looked immaculate with no oil build up any where and very clean pistons (nice piston oil jets too). It also has an IHI VJ11/VF11 hybrid turbocharger on it, which is bolted to a recently sandblasted crack-free exhaust manifold that is tapped 1/8NPT for an EGT probe off the #1 runner, and that is hidden under a custom made heat shield. It's also been filled with fresh oil and a new oil filter. Although it has a hybrid turbo, I never overboosted it and always ran a wideband O2 sensor to make sure it never ran lean. It's never been over-revved and touched the rev limiter maybe twice in the time I owned it. When I had a chipped ECU, no intercooler, the IHI turbo at stock pressure, and no fuel increases (other then the chip), it put down 155whp and 160ft lbs of torque. It would have made more power if I spun it past 6000rpm, but I wanted to play it safe without the intercooler. The engine is very healthy. It comes with a G25MR flywheel that has a new OEM Mazda clutch with about 4500kms on it. I've removed all the OEM Mazda sensors that came with the B6DE because I was going to run it off the TEC 2, I still have all the sensors in the garage

Looking for $750CAD

I also have a hydraulic G25MR for sale out of an Escort GT. I have the intermediate shaft as well. From what I've been told, the transmission is in good condition and doesn't grind. For pick up only from Mississauga, Ontario. Price - make an offer.

Also for sale is a new Electromotive TEC 2 standalone engine management system. Electromotive has since replaced this system with the TEC 3, but mine has only ever been installed on my aforementioned B6T and ran for a total of maybe 45 seconds when I fired the engine to test that my setup worked. It will come with a 3-bar MAP sensor, intake air temp and coolant temp sensors, as well as a custom machined mag sensor mount and 60-2 sensor wheel mounted to a B6T crank pulley that should be compatible with all B-series Mazda engines. Everything is wired together with a professionally fabricated wiring harness and everything but the crank pulley is brand new. I can include 450cc injectors that work well with the TEC 2 if required. This setup should work for all B-series engine, BPT, B6T, etc. Price - Make an offer (Note: used TEC 2 computers are still selling for around $600 on Ebay)
