Ordered Fidanza 9lb flywheel + clutchmaster stage I

Post by nightfire »

I just ordered them in prep for my KLZE swap.

Anyone have them together here? I talked to a few probe users who love it. The stage I is apparently good to about 220ftlb which is more than anything I'll see at least for a year or two.

I have just bought the same kit, along with the corksport ss clutch line.

Should be fun!

I dont understand why people say the flywheel is a pain. I barely notice any difference in drivability at all.

Yea i had the Fidanza on my PGT and there were no driveability issues. Sure you have to be slightly lighter on the gas on breakaway, but thats about it.

yeah I don't really notice any driveability issues but I guess that's because I've driven it for almost 5 years :)

oh and I should've said BOOO on the CM2R - I only got 18k out of mine

hope your CM stage 1 lasts longer than what we experienced... I DON'T recommend Clutchmasters! plus when it went out I had to replace my flywheel surface (another $60 but at least I could replace it)

its not that its a real issue anymore, its easy to drive just can be a bit of a pain, when you have to bounce from all the gears a lot, but now i just keep it in 2nd don't ever really have to shift down to 1st.

Yea clutch Master sucks, its ashame that RR racing doesn't give you a choice in what clutch you want with the package.

Hmmf.. well that's too bad.

I'm pretty hard on my clutch too.. :/ But anyway in the next year or two I'll probably be bolting on a SC or turbo kit so I'll have a chance to inspect and replace the clutch then if it goes bad.
