Also, I find it iffy to believe that my problems are coming from plugs or wires because even when it kept dying on me it was running as good as it ever has and it just needed a cool off period to start up again, then it ran perfect. I never had the idling problem til I did the fuel filter and ignition coil, so i think it might have just been my timing off but I havn't had a chance to drive it after we set the timing due to the fact that it wouldnt start! Tomorrow I'll try another HEI module when my parts store opens up again, haha.

Ya, if you recently replaced the wires you shouldn't have to worry about that. It is probably the HEI.

I'm sorry jacked the thread with my problem on the 1st page. I read it so quickly I didn't notice it wasn't finished...

For your situation, I would sugest trying with an external coil before spend $$ on a new HEI.

well the HEI is only 40 bucks and my coil is brand new, lol, and thats okay
