I need help prep'ing car for paint! (Maryland)

I need help getting my car ready for paint. I'm willing to pay pretty descent but nothing outlandish. I live in MD and willing to drive to anywhere in a 100 mile radius.

Maaco is painting it... But they are charging a arm and leg, plus I have been doing a little homework on the subject and everyone agrees that you should do it yourself. Because they tend to rush through the prep.

you gonna scuff and spray ...or fix dents, prime & etc. ? A good prepper is hard to find !

I want to get as many as the dings out as possible. The car really isn't in that bad of shape just door ding after door ding along the body.

the prep is the hardest part of the paint job.

what part of md r u from i know some painters that do paint on the side

I live in Severn about right next to Arundel Mills about 15 mins from Baltimore.
