The thing is I start the car works great but stalls once when engine is cold after that not do it anymore. sometime it doesn't do at all. Also i notice it just do it more often if its a colder tempature.

I changed the dist a year ago, wire, new iriduim plugs, fuel filter, oxygen sensor, fix up my accordeon intake tube, checked all my vacuum pipe....perfect!! What else could do that ???

Fuel pump ?? Is there a a filter also on the fuel pump ??? if so.....Could it be that ?? :?

Please help me mazda buddy's

Thanks !! :D

Clean the throttle body.. specifically the IAC valve portion of the throttle body. You will need to get new gaskets from mazda to be able to put it all back together once you have finished cleaning it all.

Check your coolant temp sensor.. there are 2 of them.. make sure both are within factory specifications. You can find the specs and the test procedures in the online shop manual.

The IAC might be it, but the coolant sensors only work when the engine is hot. I would replace the fuel filter. On the GS it is under the throttle body, mounted to a bracket on the transmision. Looks like a black soda can with a tube coming out of it. Or you can just trace the fuel lines from the fule rail to the filter. One line goes to the filter and the other goes back to the gas tank.
An intake cleaning and fuel injector service might be a good idea too. Sounds like it is not getting the right amount of fuel.

you know.. my k8 had that issue which i never resolved.. i swapped the engine and everything was fine.. hey maybe a ze swap will help!! :P jk lol i remmember when the car was cold it would flood out with gas. Fuel pressure regulator for some reason.. i never found o0ut if thyatwas it because the car caught on fire and i replaced every sensor and the entire harness.

Are you 100% positive about the coolant temp sensors Pat? I thought one of them fed info to the ECU on engine temp which in turn told the IAC how to function when the engine was cold... to "Choke" the air flow the proper amount. I mean.. if the coolant sensors are like most sensors.. the're a fancy resistor that has its resistance either increase or decrease with coolant temp.. then if the sensor is out of spec.. the information the ECU will receive is incorrect. I dont know which sensor does what.. can never keep that straight LOL

Thanks For the tips guys.

I already changed my fuel filter on the car and It help. No more backfire. But still stalls. I will check the fuel pressure regulator. Because the way the car react, its like if its drowning or not enough fuel

BTW is there a filter on the fuel pump ??

yeah there is but i guess it never gets dirty. If the car floods all you do is take out the IGN fuse and crank the car , as you hear it trying to start insert the fuse and you should be back in bussiness, just a way to burn excess fuel.

You are right Tunes, it does "work" in that it reads when it warms up. Until then the car knows it is not hot and runs in closed loop. Closed loop is a basic assumption of settings the car uses to run until it is warm and the sensors are reading something. It is a resistance sensor that does exactly what you said- reads more voltage as the sensor warms up.
So I would say your next step is checking for whether it is getting too much gas or not enough. Can you smell gas, when the car is warm, coming out of the tail pipe. If so then it is not burning it all. Could be a poor spark system (disty, plugs, wires), bad fuel pressure regulator, bad VAF (but usually the car will not run on a bad VAF), bad injector/s. I'm betting it is getting too much gas since it should not be starved when cold. Cars usually run too much gas when cold anyway, so not having enough is further from not running than adding some more gas to the good bit it gets normally when cold. Crank it and when it dies, pull a spark plug. Is it wet, does it stink of gas? If so then you need to start looking at the above. Any place listed is a likely culprit so I'd start with the ones you know how to check and then post what you find. Please search before you ask how to check the ones you are not sure about.

Re-started the car was now warm up, then was perfect.
