new mx3 exhaust in developement

Post by Steeb »

well i just got off the phone with corksport about some struts and i also asked about the new cat back they have for the protege and escort would fit the mx3. i was told that the muffler sticks out few inches too long on our cars. i was also told that they would be developing a different rear section so it would fit properly on the mx3.

if u guys havent seen it yet, it looks pretty good on picture and the price is fairly cheap too for a premade mandrel bent exhaust.

hope corksport isnt going to get upset at me posting this here but i thought id give the heads up.

it will be way to pricey and much cheaper to go have it done at a muffler shop :)

Mine cost 250 for a muffler (Flow Master), welding the cat on, and the 2.5" mandrell bent piping. 350 plus shipping seems high to me.

I sent a guy over to corksport (fowljesse) to get the exhaust fitted while I was over there beating on my car. No luck guys. Not sure if they are going to go thru with this one. If youre interested give Derrick a call.

I got 2.25 pipe, magnaflow muffler, installed for about 350. It wasn't mandrel bent.

Sounds like a good deal to me. Anymore news?

thats a sweet price. a pace setter cost 250. this is polished SS. i just fabed two SS mandrell bent exhaust and W/O muffler, cat, and resionators they were over 100 bucks just for the piping, it was 3" but still. 350 for a direct bolt on exhaust is a damb good price.

That isnt a bad price for a custom mandrel bent exhaust, it looks a lot nicer than the pacesetter catback

I was quoted $360 mandrell bent 2.5 inch exhaust includiing cat. I'm suppling the muffler and the car has headers so that part is taken care of. My exhaust is perfectly fine. Is there any real difference going from 2.25 to 2.5? Comments please and screw the IMO stuff. Lets hear the naked truth.

I was the one who let them fit it to my car, and he said NO WAY.
^^ This is just in case people get excited again^^.

I am VERY interested in this last question, too, because I have 2.25", and it feels great, but any more power would be greater. I have a long resonator I'm thinki9ng about getting rid of.
