Not firing

Post by NeZmO »

Hi guys. I found that when installing a ze that if you stick with the k8 ecu then you also have to swap out distributors and use the k8 distributor also. When I received my ze ecu today I found that my engine won't fire. Do I now need a 2.5 distributor or is it something else? Thanks guys

Well u r suppose to use your disty from the original 1.8 on the new ZE. Also u will need to swap Crank sensors from the 1.8 to the 2.5, at least i had to.

Snapping in a KLZE ECU should be just that. No modification needed. It will work with the 1.8 Disty.

Well I have almost put 3,000 miles on the ZE. I drive it 160 miles to and from work. Today after I got home I plugged it in and no dice :( But I didn't have to swap my cps. The two connectors were identical one just longer than the other.
