nope. It bolts up to a 1.8L l4. From a protege. But you'd be better off just using the protege transmission too, since that would fit in your car.

plate/bar thing... you're not referring to the crossmember are you? Cuz yeah that would have to come out. If you're referring to a plastic cover, that has to come out too...

I hope you didn't make some sort of deal to just sell the car as is to that buyer, for a lot less money. You seem like you're pretty close to getting this done, and it would be ashame to lose money at this point.

If you got a digital camera, just take pics of whatever obstacle you have and post it here. There's a lot of tricks and tips that people on this site can give you to make the job go by easier.

I know how frustrating this can be. The first clutch I replaced was on my mx3, and there's a little "frustration dent" on my passenger side door from when I didn't have air tools and things weren't going my way. There was even one point when I debated just towing it to a shop, and getting them to finish. In the end though, I saved a hell of a lot of money, and learned a lot too. Gets easier every time, since then I've helped a few buddies change their clutches.

Well that's not bad at all then. You're actually saving money because you don't need to pay to machine the flywheel lol.

yeah you definitely should.

Some other recomendations are to put in a new release bearing, and possibly a pilot bearing since that's so cheap.
