How is an LSD installed?

Post by nightfire »

Hey guys. Noob question. I couldn't find anything in the search.

I'm interested in an LSD and I noticed the Quaife on corksport's site. They don't have the install manual online, and I'm curious... how do you install that? Where does it go exactly? I assume inside the transmission... does it replace the existing differential?

i don't know the proceedure...but it replaces the open diff. if it comes with a pinion gear(final drive ratio) then you should only have to pull a few clips on the inner axel's out for it to come out...

How much is the Quaffe Diff on Corksport?

Also how much would a Gearbox rebuild kit be?

The Quiaffe is around $1300 and i've seen rebuild kits for around $200.

The MSP LSD i used was under $400 from MMS :D
