just wondering really i want to know from the de's and ze's.......no offense to everyone else.......but anyone running DRAG RADIALS....what do you launch at and do you get wheel hop....

I would suggest around 4k to 5k but that is just me you can do a few test in those ranges and see what works the best for you.

in my probe with ZE cams and intake manifold i launched at 4200 right below vris
dohc b6, intake, exhaust, miata cams ready to go in

heh non drag radials you HAVE to launch it below 3000 because you WILL HOP LOL

MX-3 w/ curved neck millenia klde, boosted @ 5 psi. /bov and wastegate are good!/ nitto drag radial/ gutted interior/ millenia red top injectors, vortech fmu/aem wideband/ all bolts ons/ Car put together 100% by me. Mechanic? who needs a mechanic? ew.. real men work on their own cars!

i launch at 6,000 rpms with either drag radials or slicks but i don;t have a V6. i have the 4cly BP i never had wheel hop unless i launched on street tires.

if i launch below 4000 rpms the car just bog down probly cause its boosted vs N/A.

I slip it around 2grand and It still spins but it moves. Any higher and my car just spins and goes no where.lol

non radials, K8 and on the street... around 3000 rpm's and still get wheel hop :?

Damn you guys are lucky...i cant launch higher than 1500 RPM and slipping it on street tire...even with my LSD i think 2,500 RPM slipping it was the best i can do.

Now that i am turbo i can't do any launching on street tire, let alone any flooring in 2nd..haha :lol:

launch at around 2000, slip it out kinda fast then floor it, as long as you good some pretty good tires likei had youw ont spin much, it will just fly out of hte hole

drag radials are nice but i like to keep street tires since its a street car and i was drunk when i posted that anyway :P
