Friction Gear

Is it a part that commonly causes trouble in Mx-3's. Specifically engine noise? Just wondering if anyone has had trouble with this issue besides me.

its nothing to be really concerned about.the tick the k8 makes is a combination of Friction gear and HLA's(aka lifters) you can buy replacemnt parts vat mazda its not exactly cheap. and the replacemnets are supposed to not make the noise because they are notched, just look in the v6 FAQ there is a post.
