Sleeper idea, factory wing or no wing??

Post by ChrisG3 »

I have a 92 that I in the process of getting it finished out. I have a thought of making it a quasi-"sleeper". IE. Replacing the wing with the piece from the non-winged cars and removing as many V6/GS emblems as possible. I am just curious on everyones thoughts on this.

Chris

P.S. Yes, it does have the 2.5 J-Spec motor (granted it is using the US 2.5 MAS and stock 1.8 ECU).

Actually it would be refered to as a "Hatch Garnish", (not to get confused with the "Hatch Shade") which came on the 4cyl RS models.

Agreed-- thats one of my favorite MX-3's ever.

I think the car looks good either way though. Its up to you in the end.

Heres mine, sans hatch garnish...

It depends on how the rest of your car looks, I have an RS so never had a wing, but I did get a GS front lip and rear mud guards and I like how they look with only my hatch garnish.

I really like the way Brandon and atlantamx3's rides look with the hatch garnish so maybe I am biased... I guess do some photoshopping and see what your car will look like w/o the wing.

Could easilly just get it painted or paint it to match. I did when I got car repainted.

Here's a few pics of mine before I put the bodykit on.
