Motorcycle Decision, Help me out
I'm looking to cop either a Triumph Daytona 675 or a Yamaha R6 in March. Anyone got any good input as to which one would be better. I'm basically a beginner, drove a couple of bikes here and there but never had my own. I heard the Daytona is a great bike and that the Yamaha is alittle too advanced but I wanna hear from anyone with first hand knowledge. Thanks.

I would def get the R6 over a daytona, I have a 99 CBR600 and a friend of mione has the 05R6, if i could afford it i would get the R6 definetly a faster bike then the daytona, even thought the daytona has extra 50cc...
95 RS so far just a paintjob, rims suspension next then turbo...

R6 is a better bike, you will also loose less money if you're not keeping it too long but it's like a civic, everybody has one... Triumph will have more style and long long term value.

Why don't you just man up and buy a hayabusa. I hear they're great beginner bikes.
Then turbo it http://youtube.com/watch?v=5iNJMlFnZTo

Yeah a Hayabusa sounds good. I'll flip myself over and die. Whats funny is I actually learned how to ride on an '06 Kawasaki ZX10R which is faster than the Hayabusa. I'm going to go to the dealerships this week and maybe test 3 bikes out, the Daytona 675, the R6, and the GSX-R750.

I was thinking about getting a bike instead of a car a while back (glad I chose the car) and, if I got one, it definately would have been an R6. That bike is the most technologically advanced production bike ever made. I think it would probably out handle any other production bike. If I got a 1000cc bike it would be the Suzuki GSX-R1000, but, I would probably stick with the R6.
Edit: Actually, the 2007 YZF-R1 is looking really nice and it only weighs 11lbs more than the GSX-R1000. Maybe the R1 would be a better choice for the 1000cc class.
