Your gauge starts out displaying the temperature as it warms so problem is more likely a defective temperature sending unit on the motor and not the temp guage on the instrument cluster. Sounds like the sending unit is working ok initially, when cold, and when it reaches a certain temperature heat range it stops working so doesn't "send" to the gauge at that point. The fix is to replace the sending unit (a threaded unit mounted near the thermostat)

It would be a good idea to replace the thermostat too.

Hi,

I have the same problem, did you manage to replace the two items?

Did it sort it out?

Thanks,

No,
Actually checked the thermostat the other day to discover, there wasn't one in there,

I've just had the entire engine replaced, so it might've shipped without one. Just waiting for the gasket and O-Ring and I should be back on the road soon.

Thanks,
