Yeah, corky bell makes some good points in that book but there is alot of stuff that isnt mentioned. Like trim on turbos and stuff. The book is pretty old now, like almost ten years I think.

I read up alot on engines and stuff from other sources too but corkys book is really good. Those few terms "tensile" and "compressive" are right out of his mouth. I think they are generally used throughout the scene but thats the first place I heard it.

And yeah, the stock turbo was water cooled. If you indeed read his book then youd know that a water cooled bearing housing is a desired feature since it helps cool the turbo and makes it last longer.

The book is old and it shows. I cant say I was disappointed with it but from reading all the good stuff about the book on mx-3.com I thought it would be better in some aspects. Oh and I know that water cooling is a desired feature LOL... I just didn't know if the stock turbo was.
95 RS so far just a paintjob, rims suspension next then turbo...
