Okay, for those keeping track, what are the recent concepts hitting auto shows that our members have been applauding and praying will turn into the next mx-3?
The reason I ask is... I've just picked up a copy of Car & Driver. I thought I spied what looked like a new version of the MX-3, so I flipped open the book to read how Mazda was trying to resurrect the RX-3 mojo. Apparently the guys at C&D forgot about our whips.
So let's just look back. Anybody remember Senku? An interesting likeness of our small 2+2s, but few could figure out where the headlights were.
I found some pics at

Then of course was the Kabura, which prompted some talk on the board. Some thought of it as the next MX-3 before the drawings were converted to a tangible concept. It ended up being something like an MX-3/RX-8 cross, but to me looks disturbingly like what would happen if Mazda were given the rights to the 350Z.

What next though? The car I saw in C&D: the Kabura. This seems to have more of the shape of MX-3. Of course, it was a clay model with the intention of showing off Mazda's new textured body style.
See it here...

Of course, the articles written in these magazines are written weeks before press time, so the Nagare had time to blossom, and when I did a bit more research, I found the Ryuga. This might be worth taking a look at guys, it's progressed more along the path of our little 2+2 than I expected.
Take a look for yourselves though:

Kabura
I like the concept Kabura and hope they follow thru with it's production 'cause I would buy one. I would still keep the MX-3 and find another spot in a garage for the winter for it instead of drivnig it in the winter like I am right now.

You obviously never saw my Civic . It had the best spray paint inverse flames on the hood, and amazing barbed wire fence marks, iron oxide speed holes, and a tailpipe-less exhaust that freed up so much restriction that I'd claim 93 hp on it. Too bad it was an interference engine, and too bad I never changed the timing belt.
