The WORST water pump Ive ever seen!!!
This was actually IN MY CAR! Yes ladies and gentlemen.. This was what was in my car.. "circulating" coolant. How how how how did the engine not explode? Someone please tell me. Thank god Im doing a full teardown of the engine this winter otherwise I wouldent have known. Its AMAZING that the head isnt warped.. I dont know how but its not.. That pump was probally like that ever since I got the engine.. who knows.. Anyway... The pics.. I hope youre sitting down.

ya, if you didn't have an overheating issue, there would be no reason to suspect a problem, or would the head of warped.

Never overheated on me.. never boiled over.. temps always looked normal.. Its absloutely reterded.. Just by comparsion.. I pulled the pump off my scrap motor in my basement and its quite different..XxantwawnxX wrote:And you did not over heat???

I wonder if that's what happens if it was in 100% pure coolant?

Its astounding! You would never have known that there was anything wrong with it. Car ran fine.. Well Im glad that its getting fixed now anyway.. Im thinking of bringing the pump into mazda and see what they say.. Im guessing they will be equally as shocked.
