*UPDATE*

i got my donor mx3 delived two days ago and me and my buddy tore everything out we needed the same night.I started installing the shifter linkage and short shifter i bought last nite.I ended up picking up a tracer lts and swapped the bp hub asseblies in.I put the passenger motor mount shell in today along with the crossmember.Im waiting to find a clean kl motor to drop in so i wont be able to do much till i get the motor.Im goin to pressure wash the engine bay before hand and clean up the engine bay.Im goin to the shop tonight to clean up the old escort parts and hopefully get the trans and axles mounted in and go buy a clutch tonight.I didnt get a chance to get any pics of the work on the mx3 but ill be taking some pics tonight for your viewing pleasure.

Si Senior... my radiator problem is mucho gusto... however don't take the route i did :x you see, i ended up putting a SAAB radiator in it :-p... pics shortly, and cut a lot of my core support apart. The only reason i went with this setup is cause the moding was entirely free for me... infact I used all of my old stuff for the new setup (including a cut MX3 radiator hose and one of the factory SAAB ones...) the setup works great now, only one fill hehe... and no problems with the oil fill like previous (the factory escort radi's filler neck was .25 inches away from the oil cap... talk about cramped!!) now there is all sorts of room for my big hands to get up in and do whatever i want (M62 supercharger hint, hint)... and the radi should supply the motor with more then enough cooling, and so far has been proven true with just a little 10inch pusher fan... which i could setup to be a puller but that might get in the way of the huffer  So, if anyone is looking at this swap, including you escortluver... just get a damn civic radi!!! unless you have access to steel, a welder, cutting wheels and a s--- load of balls to start hacking ur core support!!

So far ive taken all the parts off the mx3 donor car that i needed. The car is ready to be junked and will be gone by the end of this week.I got the motor, trans, axles, etc pulled out of the wagon.Tonight i started swapping in the parts from the mx3 to the wagon.I pulled the crossmember off(which i had to modify becuase of a rusted bolt shown in the pictures), i got the new gs crossmember bolted up and i installed the mx3 shifter linkage and a new short shifter i bought last nite.I also installed the motor mount "shell" on the passenger side.Tomorrow after work ill be throwing in the transmission and axles into the wagon and get the front end buttoned back up and tightened down. Here are some pics i took tonight.

are you swaping the GS Brake booster and Master cylinder in too. since you have it that far abart i would for sure. doesent that car have the 9" rear drums? or is it the 7" like the MX3. either way i would swap the disks in there. for the bling aspect, while you have it apart and all.

also i think it would look sweet as hell if you could find a GTR front end. i have seen a couple of moded scorts with a GTR front end, it really looks sweet as hell. Great build! i cant wait to see it done.

OH the other thing you should swap in off your doner car is the rack and pinion, its a shorter turning radious than whats in there now.

hmmm..i didnt notice those parts swapped over.I was contemplating the disk setup but i dont want to go through the hassle right now.I would love to get a gtr front end but they arent very common around here.I believe the wagons had the bigger rear drums since it has the larger egt front brakes stock.Im basically goin to get the car running and driving properly then start making it more nimble and solid. Thanks for the suggestions though.Find me a gtr front clip asap...hehe
