Heres a pic of the engine bay

And here is one of the two top plates they include to make an actual enclosure for it, theres a neat little OEM air scoop under the car that vents this enclosure. Its S-shaped so water is less likely to get through.

The coolant overflow I just bolted right below in an already existing hole and the MAF sensor didnt give me too much trouble getting it out of the way of the disty.

That is a really clean setup, I like em. On the CAI we expanded the little vent to that area by quite some bit. I never got around to finishing the plate I was making to seal the area though. Had this kit been around I would have bought it tomake my life simpler.

Here is a pic of my setup, I am digging it out just to show another option for the Radator resivor

Notice its off to the left side, it actuallr crams into that spot. No bolts were needed it wedges in there very tightly, although if you have cruise control you can not put it there. I have some better pictures of how its crammed in there somewhere, but i have no clue where.

You can also run without a resivor as well, its not a critical componet.

you should really consider getting one of those bypass filters one of the guys in here from my area had a cai and when he turned a corner hit a puddle and bent a rod and destroyed the engine.... if he'd had the bypass that would have been avoided

For where the intake is sitting you have to get into some seriously deep water to pull it up into the motor. I ran with my intake in that spot for two years and even drove throught water that was atleast 8in deep and had no problems.

i know that all you have DOHC mx-3's but i just wanted to prove a point, you don't actually have to move the rad overflow bottle.

Thats nice..i would like to have one on my car..how much does a CAI cost to put in a 95' 1.6 DOHC? and about how much labor is required?

You can find them on ebay for about 65$ USD shipped. You can do the install yourself, its fairly straight forward and easy, If a shop charges you more than two hours they are ripping you off, one should be enough for most poeple to do it.

It took me more than an hour cause I partly assembled it prior thinking id just pop in the two piece and connect them at the MAF - big mistake. The blue rubber connectors went on totally different than what I thought. Also the frontmost black plate that forms the box I had to cut back with a grinder so the headlight and sidelight wires would fit correctly.

Also for enough water to get into there to cause a problem id have to dunk the front end.

Got it off ebay, was like 38 US. My old K&N cone didn't fit so I'll need to use the one that came with it which seems suspiciously similar to a K&N. I'll try to fit my coolant overflow back up there and see how it goes.

i've been running mine for about a year now and i haven't got water in it so it would have to be pretty deep (it rains alot out here). the only problem i had with mine was that the blue rubber piece was rubbing against something, but i managed to catch it before it rubbed all the way thru.

sweet..i was thinkin alot more than that..thats great though..thanx..but kinda off subjuct..but has anyone put a entire exhust system in thier car? if so how much did it cost??

The cost factor is more like a slider bar, going from ghetto to Uber awesome setups. The only exception to this is if you have a friend who is a good welder. The Ghettoized setup on my car cost about 60$ and once I found a friend with a welder he could piece together something really nice for around 100 in parts. I would not suggest trying the 50$ route though as of its harder than it looks.

You can purchase a catback as well, but I have not priced them recently.

ok..thanx soo much..i dont have the money right now becuse of christmas coming up but i wanted a exhust this summer..for an exhust tip what kind should i get..i dont want anythign that is going to sound like a bubble bee..but i want somthing that sounds good..

i never played much with tips speifically, although mufflers is a diffrent story. You can get withresults with a 20$ glass pack that will not sound too ricey. The motor makes the sound so its hard to get away from what people think of as "rice" sounds.
