**Disty problem PLEASE HELP**

well I have the 96 mx3 gs v-6

Gone through my second disty in the same year. What would cause this and how can I fix it.........

Yes I done the search and came across the HEI mod. My question is can this be done on the 96 model all I find is info up to the 95 model seems meny parts counters dont have the 96 even in their books. including all the southern parts suply stores aswell.

To any of you mechs here please help with this problem its been costing me a ton of money and I would just like this resolved.....

I have new plus wires cap rotor and a year old disty that has been told to me that its pooched already.. If I can do the HEI mod I will but can I use the same disty I have of do I still need to buy another one...

If you have one and you want to sell it to me please let me know or if you know of a good deal on one that would help also....

The Distys are just crap and prone to failure since they don't always replace ALL of the wear parts when they rebuild them. Have you tried ot return it under warranty (if it has one)?
You can do the HEI mod and resolve the issue, but I don't know about Canadian cars since we only got the MX until 94.
