Hey guys i was jsut wondering what plugs i should use for my engine...DE by the way, and yes i searched and couldnt find much so let me know and no funny answer Its my birthday tell me what i want to know! and say happy bday
I just installed K8 NGK BKR5E-11 v-plugs in my ZE then I found that I should either use the ZFR5E-11, ZFR6E-11 or the BKR6E-11. Babyblue even used either the BKR or ZFR 7E-11 (but he had a crazy set-up). One is longer than the other so is it right for me to assume that depending on our driving habit we should choose one or the other? According to Chiltons:
High speed/ long driving= shorter plugs
Stop and go driving= longer plugs
Does it matter when it comes to the infamous high temp KLZE engine?
I'm surprised there isn't a FAQ on matching the engine to proper plugs and what, if any, combinations exsists according to your set-up.
if you have a K8 use BKR5E-11
if you have a klze use BKR6E-11
if you have a klde use ZFR6E-11
Those are all NGK product numbers btw so don't go looking at the bosch for those numbers. NGK plugs are better anyways
yes thats right, Do not use Bosch or Champion or Autolite or whatever, use only NGK. do not use NGK g-power or Iridium your wasting your money. jsut egt vpoers
ok well does it have to be v-power tho ?or can it be other types G-Power Platinum, Hyper IX or Iridium , reason i ask about all of those is because there on sale 20% off at canadian tire i'll be there tmrw gettting new mats and all the other winter goodies and i drive stop and go, rarely highway but yes high speeds i guess lol
if its the same price as the v powers then go ahead. There isn't much of a difference between the iridiums and the normals they claim to burn more fuel but thats just a load of crap.
FYI Bosch and Champion are the same company just 2 different brand names.

for the 3rd time. just go with v-power. G power is platinum. you just want a normal copper plug. It will be the best in your car BELIEVE ME!!! End of story
recomended gap plz someone anyone....why isnt this in the FAQ?
Cause its in the online shop manual... no need for it to be in a FAQ
