I would say stick with what you have now. The Probe ECU/VAF is set up for 220 cc injectors...so unless you swap some on your 1.8 manifold it will not run right. Your 1.8 has 180cc injectors, so at least right now it has the correct VRIS for your 1.8 manifold, and the injectors are calibrated to the ECU.

first slow down.....your typing pretty horrible.....keep the je50 VAF and use the k8 ecu....save some money and get a kl31 ecu...and be cool

Correct me if I'm wrong but he's runing a KLZE with the original K8 ECU and VAF, does that not make the motor run rich, regardless of IM. I didn't read in his post that he kept his K8 fuel fail so he should have 2.5 injectors. Becuse of that, the ECU doesn't know about the larger injectors, treats them as if they were the K8's and dumps more fuel than it's suppose to.

Using a 2.5 VAF on the K8 ECU apparently works pretty good. I've heard some people recently using the 2.5 VAF and ECU to get really good results, it seems to burn better than the K8 VAF and KL31/36 ecu, in which the plugs are white (lean)

Actually he said in his post he has the K8 manifold...so unless he switched the injectors he has the 180cc injectors still. So it will be running fine.

What is the 2.5 VAF? I thought the 2.5 used an MAF which doesn't fit our sensor harness so everyone uses the JE50 because it's supposedly the closest match for the VRIS points and it plugs right in. Have I been unaware of another VAF out there that we can use on a ZE other than the JE50?
Sorry for jacking the thread.

Only a few models have an MAF. Most have a JE50 VAF, which we also use.

Ahh, ya, got confirmation from FieroMx3, i forgot that they were bolted to the IM, but even then, we can't assume he has either, no?

You get everything. What happens is that most ZE's come with straight neck intake manifold, and with that there is clearance issues with the brake booster. That is the simplest thing they do is put your old K8 IM on instead of getting a Millenia IM, since most places do not want to part out the IM from the motor. If they were smart, they would of put the IM and kept the ZE injectors, if they were lazy and cheap, they would of put your IM on and keep the K8 injectors
