attempting civic projectors

Post by Jacbs2007 »

UGHH this is so much harder then it looks. I guess I'm more or less just venting but still, I had no idea there was this much cutting involved. I'm attempting to follow the Evilyetti instructions but damn...it's been 2 full days and I don't even have the first headlight done.

I hope I'm not ruining a perfectly good $130 set of civic projectors

nah just be patient.. DO NOT USE fiber glass RESIN .. itwill stain the lens and then useless.. lets say it all fais.. simply just use the inner projector :) Use a hot knife.. thats what i did for cutting.. it makes it so fast.. the fumes are bad tho lol. Youll be ok. Seal em up with tire rubber and notplastic. well thats the easy way i did and its awesome.

Thats what happened to me, $130 down the drain. :(
I didn't want to cut the bumper at all so I just tried to cut the lenses and after tons of hours and aggravation I decided to give up. I had to throw them out too since I moved but I wish I had stuck with it. Wish you the best of luck man, when you get aggravated picture how nice it will look when you are done :)

Keep at it.
Dont try and rush it.
I'm still working on mines right now.
I set a pretty lofty goal...to have them done before it snows

Is there a whole lot less work if one decides to cut the bumper?? I´m not going to cut it but I will make a custom bumper.
So the question is - if the bumper is irrelevant, do you still have to cut the glass and everything???

You could probably get away with only having to cut the back of the housing if you made your own front bumper. The back will still need to be cut so that it will fit in the same place as the stock headlights, but I think you could avoid having to cut the lense if you made a custom bumper.
