To Supercharge a KL-ZE ...

Post by OutlaW »

Hello guys
I was wondering a while back, about the things i should do to the Ze when i swap .
I had ideias for :
Twin Turbo it
Big turbo it
Turbo and Nitro it ...

These days i had a new ideia, how about SC it ?
I have done some search ( really \0/\0/ ) and found out that the problem is on the low compression of the ZE.
Isnt Outlaw Enginering solving this with their product ?
Or is that part only for the intake manifold body ?
Doesnt it raise the compression ?
If it does not, how can a guys raise the Ze compression ?[/list]

http://www.procharger.com These guys make a universal SC for imports or compact cars. If you are going to SC the KL-ZE should be able to take 7psi stock but what I am going to do is jsut build the motor up first. Biger fuel injectors lower comp. pistons cams valve springs. I am going to do water injection to cool it down. Biggest thing is tuning of the car so you dont blow it up.

Hey many thanks Legato626 , i enjoyed the website :)

Since the Kl-Ze will be a swap, i dont want to go overboard and ruin a perfectly good engine ...

I will take care and tune it with the best, and the best way i know how 8)

Look into a Roots type S/C
From what i understand, only problem with a S/C is that there is very little room in the engine bay
And no-one, has yet to make a reliable transfere shaft

has anyone ever tried to convert to electric hydraulic power steering? i wonder if we can put an s/c back there somehow by refilling the engine mounts so the engine is more offset a little

I removed all my A/C stuff and i now have a big hole down there were the A/C pump was. I am going to make a mount and put a pro charger down there. I already have the piping planned out and the space. I just need the money! =)

look on jeff abrams site mazdamaniac.com

he has a super charger build up

he didnt use a klze because of the compression he used a kl03. He also thought that the 200 hp from the ze wasnt true,

the kl03 is a cheaper engine i think its about 189 hp & has better compression for a turbo or supercharger

now wait....i think the only problem for fitting that mx6 supercharger would be the height until you hit the hood correct....everything else should line up or am i missing something

loose change, I think you're right, a new hood scoop would be a relatively easy fix... the price is right so far
