[FS] Kia BP Engine
Ok, i was at the shop today and he has a wrecked Kia Sophia, anyway, I told him about the BP engine BPT engine and whatnot and told him I would see what you guys think....anyway I can't really post a price considering it's not mine, but anyway
BP Engine with 29,000 original miles
Tranny with 29,000 original miles
Anyway, how much do you think someone here is willing to pay for this stuff, or maybe you want it and want to make an offer, i'll pass all the stuff on to him, let me know what you guys think.

Your in Canada, I hope you mean $400 US right? cause thats a decent offer in my eyes, I told him I expected someone to offer a bit more than that for the fact of it has 30k miles on it and well anyone wanting to turbo a BP would love to have a 30k engine and tranny lol

Ouch well, I'll let him know the offer, but $500 shipped for a 29k BP and trans, anyone else think this is extremely low? Maybe $500 for the engine shipped....but too me thats even too low, miles on the engine come into a major factor when it's as low as 30,000, a BPT which would have roughly 40-50k your paying a $1200 for....so I figured $700 shipped for the engine would be a good deal still and $500 shipped for the tranny....anyone else, any ideas on good prices?

Dude, a BP-T is turbocharged. Has different parts, and there aren't so many around. It's a stock BP. it doesn't matter how many KM's it is. Someone is offering 500 USD. Hell, I didn't think you'd get that much for it.LooseChangeRacing wrote:Ouch well, I'll let him know the offer, but $500 shipped for a 29k BP and trans, anyone else think this is extremely low? And also. WHy tht HELL would you get the same price for a stock BP, that you would for a BP-T? FOr that price, someone might as well go buy a BP-T instead.

youd get a better price for this bp because
its a newer year
MUCH lower miles
better flowing head then a bp
includes the newer trans
i mean its not like a 94 bp, its gutta be much much newer then that.
but yea if you dont get a good offer just sell it to the highest bidder, either that or its just going to waste right?

I dont see how it's the best engine. One of the guys is turbo-ing a Kia and he's been having problems getting it to run right. THere's something different in the head i believe. Man, I don't remember all the details, if and when i see him soon, I'll ask him, but he's having nothing but issues.

I havn't seen enough evidence to back that the Kia BP is better. I do know that the Kia transmission is better in the fact it is stronger and uses bigger 28 spline axles. That is why I am using it
But I could go pick up a kia Transmission for $220 w/ 6K on it. The Engine for $350. So remember, they are still out of a Kia and are Used, they aren't garrentied to have been used by someone who did regular oil changes and are still what, 8-12 yrs old??
