Engine reving and hard starts

Post by Paylrider »

My Mazda has been recently going down hill, but hopefully it is just a failed sensor. It started occassionally when stopped, the engine would rev up to 22 to 25 hundred rpm on its own for a few minutes then go down to normal. Along with this the car would start hard shortly after this happens. Lately it reves up more often( way to often), and starts very hard, I am assuming it is something related to fuel and a sensor, any more direct ideas?

Fred, give me a call and we'll get together and see if we can figure this out. My number is in the contact list in the Toronto Forum.
