Injectors required for a k8t to run 6-7 psi
i need a straight answer on this from anyone that has ever turboed a k8 in the past. Ive gone back throught the past threads and their seems no definitive answer ...
i live in australia and eunos 800/millenia s injectors 280cc are basically impossible to find ...
if kl-ze injectors (220cc) will be alright for 6-7 psi i need to know because i will use them as they will be easier to get
if they are alright are the injectors the same as those found in a kl-de
i will be gettin a waldbro and piggyback system to complement
i even saw a member called battosai ran 7psi on his stock 175cc injectors before coming a bit lean so this is why i think the 220cc one will be find
this is urgent its delaying me with my project big time as im gathering everything for other people to do.
anyhelp greatly appreciated

There is a guy here that is running 9lbs using the millinia s injectors and he says that it runs rich as hell, i'm sure the klze injectors would work. OR you can find babyblue's write up on how to modify the fuel rails to fit nissan injectors

i also need help with what waldbro 255lph you use is it pump GSS 341 or GSS 342 and what kit no# is it 400-730 or 400-866.
ps i have already taken a read of babyblues nissan injectors diy and want to avoid this at all costs ..basically ill be running 6 psi with no intention of goin higher
i just think 220cc will be fine for what i want... ive seen australian sites selling close to these size injectors for some of our muscle cars such as the holden commodore ss v6 that pumps out about 170kw so that alone gives me comfort that 220cc will be ample but then again the commodore isnt a boosted car

220 cc are enough for 6-7 Psi. on the 1.8 L k8.
220 cc will support a little over 200 hp on our motor.
if in doubt, use one of these sites to do some calculating.

The klde injectors are 220 cc as well as the 2.5 l mellinias.

thanks for your info mate. i did some calculating, but the main thing from my calculations is whether 60-65 psi a safe fuel pressure to have ont he injectors. i also dont know what a k8 running 6psi can produce bhp wise. (for the calcs i used 200hp as a round figure)can the maximum duty cycle reach as high as .9?.it seems like the perfect size would be about 245ccandy wrote:220 cc are enough for 6-7 Psi. on the 1.8 L k8.

Look at it this way, the J-Spec kl-ze puts out around 200 hp from the factory using 220cc injectors. At 6psi on a K8 I don't think you will be at 200hp. Your starting point is around 130hp and 6psi is roughly 60hp added.
I have been running 10psi on my k8 for 5months,(knocks on wood) and having no problems. I was running 6-7psi non-intercooled for a short while but added the intercooler and upped the boost. I have been running
220cc injectors, and 8:1 FMU. stock ecu and fuel pump.
The next size in injectors is the 280cc's thats to much for your K8 at 6psi
unless your controlling the fuel with a standalone.

Sorry there not the same.
The AFPR will raise fuel pressure all the time, while boosting or not boosting. I'm using the stock FPR.
The FMU will raise fuel pressure also. but only when it sees boost.
and then each psi of boost raises the fuel pressure by 8:1,10:1 or 12:1.
so for me at 10 psi of boost I should be raising my fuel pressure by 40psi.
hope that helps.
