metric Universal bushings

Does anyone know where i can get universal metric suspension bushings for the ttl arms?

id prefer not to do it the way that lakersfan1 did it, using SAE sized bushings and making them fit.

If they made them, I would have bought them. I have no issues running it the way I am, and have already run an autocross day with them. The Protege guy on ClubProtege who did it first installed them looser than mine, and he's been running his for 2 years like that. If I thought it was unsafe, I wouldn't have installed them. I drive my kids in this car. Because of the way I installed them, they fit tight. Tight, tight.

im not saying your way was unsafe, i was just thinking that if i could get the metric bushings it would be less work for me to fit them properly.

by the way, did you notice an improvement with the new bushings?

It's quicker to react to turns. Not any harsher. No squeaks. I'm very satisfied.

But seriously, I couldn't find any metric. All I could find was those polyurethane from Energy that I used. They're only in standard since it's more for old American car restoration. And even those are a pain in the a-- to get. The first two places I ordered from cancelled my order because they said they didn't carry them anymore.

I also found Nylatron rod from McMaster, but it was also in standard widths, and you'd have to drill your own center out. The tolerances would also have to be perfect since there's no stretch.

Able O Rings in Ontario or Calgary Canada looks like a place that will make a small quantity if you supply specs.

A good idea if you have them made is to get a few grooves on the inner and outer side of the bushing to hold a tad of lithium grease. Then get them with a lip or atleast a washer to hold the grease in and dirt out.

http://www.wbds.com sais they have a huge inventory of bushings including urethane, but the online catalog doesn't seem to work. You might give them a call or something to find out if they have what you need.

PSI urethanes.com also has rods that could be cut to legnth that would work. They are in standard measurement, but have quite a selection. You might find a close enough match there.

What good are those links? Those are roll bar bushings. Those you can pick up Energy Suspension ones with the correct inner diameter. You just have to modify the bracket.

We're talking about rear control arm (TTL) bushings.
