e-brake can be fixed pretty easily.. $20 max if you get the cable from a junkyard and install it yourself. $100 if you take your car to a brake shop like Midas or Meineke.

One thing to keep in mind.. while that is a fair price for the car.. being that its a 95.. it could be OBDII. Which means a LOT of the stuff you find here on MX-3.com could be different for your car. Just something to keep in mind. Cheers and best of luck.

Its a 95 so its OBD2...if you decide to swap a Ze you can but acnnot sue the ze ecu on your car unless you swap the entire harness.

OBD ("On Board Diagnostics") is a term applied to certain electronic aspects of a car. You know when they plug your engine into a computer? That's OBD.

OBDI (the I in this case being the Roman Numeral, rather than an initial) was the first evolution and differs between manufacturers. OBDII is industry standard - and unfortunately for those who want to drop the 2.5 V6 from the top-spec JDM Mazda MX-6 (referred to around these parts as a "ZE" or "KL-ZE" after the engine code), OBDII makes it just that little bit more difficult as there's no direct way to connect the correct ECU for the KL-ZE to the wiring harness for the OBDII MX-3. The change came about sometime in 1995-6.

However... don't automatically assume that because your car is a 1995/96 model it is OBDII. I have just encountered an OBDI 1997 car (though it was manufactured in July 1996 it was registered in August 1996 which makes it a 1997 car in the UK) which I'm contemplating buying. I should note that this is in the UK and it has been mentioned before that North American and European MX-3s differ on this front - these guys are certainly the experts with the Canadian market and so what mx3autozam says is most probably true.

The only ones that I though were all (or almost all) OBDII were the 96's. From what I've seen 95 where mostly OBDII, and only some of the 94's. I have yet to see or hear about a 92-93 in OBDII
