Reasons why it's not such a great idea and that there are better options out there. Don't get all glaried eyed over the word "HID". http://www.mx-3.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.ph ... hlight=hid
More references which you obviously haven't read yet that will clarify this;

By now, if you've taken the time to review those threads, you've come to the conclusion that HID conversion of our headlight is not the most prudent. If your headlights are E-Spec or J-Spec (H4), than the HID "MAY" be a little better. If your running the the NA-Spec headlights (9004), than it would be a waste of money. Again, you'll find all of that out in those attached threads anyway.
Perhaps a search ahead of time would be in your best interest. In this case, use "HID" in the search parameters along with "Electricl Forum" in the parameters. Pretty simple actually.

I've seen the topics on HID's with 12000K setups, but I've found a local guy with a Helios 6000k set-up that he took out of his MX before it sold. It is practically new. He paid $600 for it and selling it for $350 as he doesn't want it in his house anymore. Should be awesome if in that light spectrum without the UV blaring out!
