SWAY BAR UPGRADE!!!

Post by redstar »

Hey Guys.

I got a 1996 Mazda MX-3 (4 banger), I got the Corksport Front/Rear Upper Strut Tower Bars, Front Crossmember, and the Rear Lower Tie Arm. I was just wondering if there is a Sway Bar upgrade for our cars, or if the V6 ones are bigger.

Any help would be deeply appriciated.

Thanx

I thing the GS bar is a little bigger. There is a company that makes a sway bar that supposedly fits our cars with modification. It's an Escort ZX2 website, can't remember the name.

The Whiteline rear sway bar is built for the MX-3 and is a good upgrade. If you have a RS then get a GS front bar to go with it. Whiteline developed the rear bar to compliment the GS front bar so it will be a match made in heaven.

I've tried looking for the whiteline bar before and couldn't find it. Pat, does whiteline have an American importer that we should be looking at?

The V6 is a few MM larger 2-3 and it is hollow instead of solid.
Whiteline is in Australia and will mail them here. Look in the Eunos 30X section. 30X is what the Aussy MX-3 is called.

I found that American one, too.

I was told that you have to ask for the Mx3 bar specifically, but they do have one that fits our cars.

Pat, thanks for the heads up on the Whiteline bar. I don't know how i've missed that in the past! Shipping on anything from whiteline is about what the product costs. So the bar is about 118 US dollars, shipping is 110.

Half way around the globe gets expensive. Thankfuly the Aussie dollar is weaker so we get a deal b/c it seems like less when converted. It is worth the money though 8)
