Too Tall for my car?

Post by Pentathlon »

Can anyone suggest any REALLY LOW seats(racing/bucket)?? I'm 6ft 4 (just under 2m) :?
I currently have the standard cloth Bucket seats for the 1.8 v6.
Any ideas??

lol, what year is your car? The seats out of the 94+ mx3's here is North America (the ones with the headrest's and less bolster) are lower and work better for a taller person like me (6'3) even though I rock the 92's :)

As for racing seats, they are usually higher and usually custom mounted.

CAN ANYONE HELP??? - MY HEADS STUCK UNDER THE BACK SEAT HAVING FOLLOWED THE ADVICE OF 'MX-3.COM'!!!

SERIOUSLY though... doesn't work...
If i lean back further, i need to slide the seat closer to the steering column...then my legs don't fit! - Great eh!?
It's a 93 with the all-in-one cloth bucket seats... but need to replace/re-do them as I'm starting to feel the framwork!!!
HURRAH!!

lol this thread makes me laugh, im 6'1" and the gangsta lean leaves me tones of headroom, not much can be said for the back seat tho.

Use the stock holes and create a seat frame to mount the seat rails or universal seat rails lower and farther back.

Here's a rough design but i'm thinking about T-Topping my MX instead of a Sunroof so i might just put a roll cage in and mount the seat to it...

Damn man there must be some way you can position your seat to make it work. You are tall, but not THAT tall. I have a couple of friends who are 6'6" and both could drive my car comfortably. I guess you have an unusually long upper body or something

yeah no doubt..and i can still drive with my seat at 90 degrees..how tall are you, you never did say. You must be a monster. In that case, it's time to sell your mx-3 and buy an SUV. Dang hey?

He said hes 6'4, consider the 94+ seats man, they are seriously lower, when I had them i would have my sterring wheel all the way down, with my 92 seats i have to move it up higher and the shifter feels somewhat out of reach.

I dont know, I'm 6'2" and I'm good and all my people are basketball players. My friend Craig fits in there ok (not great though) and hes 6'8" and 290lbs so you shouldn't be having problems. 6'4"s not that tall.

i'm 6'2" 260lbs. with almost 50/50 split perportions..

I find the stock seats are too small IF you have long legs as you have to bow 1 leg out and it ends up resting on the right-side of the seat...it's Hella anoying after like 200KM...

My solution or one like it Works... Drop the seat an inch and move it a few back...Only diss is you will loose the driver side passenger seat for a person to sit in...
