3"-2.5" Coupling For CAI

Post by 2RotorsNaDream »

How did you guys get the 3" half of the coupler to fit onto the VAF? I have tried to boil it, WD40 it, and had 3 people trying to pry it onto the VAF at the same time and still no go. Help me out here guys.

I used a blow drier to heat of the rubber and help it stretch every little bit it could to make it fit. Took me a good half hour to get that little bugger on there.
Looking for another Red GS.

I managed to fit it all by my self. I just boiled it for a few secs, stretched the rubber, boiled again then put a little cooking oil. It wasn't really that hard.

Mine wasn't hard at all. Just got one side in and used a flat-head scredriverand workd it up till it was all on. Took 2 seconds. Are you using a rubber or silicone coupler? A rubber one will be near impossible. But the silicone one will have plenty of stretch. It's only a 3.25" piece. I first tried a 3"-3.5" coupler, but it was way too big.

I was pretty sure the Autozone ones were silicone. :shurg: I'm using the ones that came with the intake kit, though.
