tranny swap

would a 1995 protege lx trans bolt right up to my mx like a mx6 would? I need to know because i can get one dirt cheap.

It will only bolt up to the 4 cyl Mx-3's. Either the SOHC or DOHC engines.

Don't waste your time if you have a v-6.

You need either a mx3/mx6/pgt/626 5spd transmission. MX6/626 woudl be best for the highway. MX3/pgt would be bad on highway but with a more performance setup gearset.

o i thought the protege had a taller last gear than a mx3? if it does and i cant fit the transmission in can just swap the last gears?

ur thinking of the MX6 tranny not the protege the mx6 has a taller final drive than the PGT/mx3
