What is your favorite racing game and why?
I liked Auto Modelista for some bizarre reason. Cell shaded cars look saw awsome and the effects were pretty neat. The cars' drivability was eh when accidently doing donuts on a hill with a Fairlady Z lol.
My Favorite arcade game though has to be a tie between Initial D and Maximum tune cause of the origionality of saving your game threw a magnetic card and choosing your upgrades. Best car in Initial D that I use is my RX-7. In Maximum tune it is the Subaru WRX STi. Insanity I tell you.

Need For Speed series
Most Wanted is my absolute favorite! Underground 2 is a close second, probably only because of the drifting

Nothing beats Top Gear
I used to play initial D. It's horribly unrealistic and there are always cocky 14 year olds hogging the machines, but it's entertaining.
Lately tho I've been playing Battle Gear instead. It's like initial D, but realistic (in terms of physics, but you don't take damage). Breaking/accelerating effects your traction, drifting actually takes practice (and tends to slow you down), and the everything looks realistic.
At home I play Burnout 3. Racing and blowing things up never looked better.
