Well anyways as with everything else this is a no go as no one wants to step up and be heard. Why is it everyone pisses and moans because there is little or no aftermarket for are vehicles but when it comes time to change that fact everyone nit-picks the F@#$ out of a group buy or someones idea until the idea is dead and then they piss and moan some more because it didnt go through.
We need to stand up and be heard like F.E.O.A. ( Ford Escort Owners Association ) They got together and got a group buy on parts that where not even available last year like carbon fiber hoods , corksport power seris exhaust , energy suspension full poly. kits etc.. Things get done when you keep to your guns and not whine because it not exactally the way you want it.

^ you are absolutely right.
ive been with this community for several years. when a new product or group buy came around the same 10-20 people would join the purchase. these were usually the ONLY people who would come thru when they said they were willing to pay for a new product. if it were not for these 10-20 people years back, the cf hood would never have been produced for the mx3. these SAME 10-20 people have most likely near completion with their cars and bought everything they want for their mx3 over the past several years. everyone says they are interested in something but nobody here is willing to pay for a quality product when it is in the works, this is why nothing ever goes through. this is what made me loose interest in the mx3 for a few years until i decided im not letting this issue stop me from acquiring the parts i want for my car.
mx3 community is like lazy lemmings. so far most mx3 owners are more concerened with the outter appearance of their cars so everyone else follows.
if you want something, do it yourself. make the product and others will follow.

I can say i have seen first hand (on a integra) that upgrading brakes wont always make you stop faster. In this case it was worse, alot worse. The extra size killed power, The brakes never heated up enuf to work right and it was all round crap.
Personally i would use nice pads on good STOCK sized rotors. If you are getting to the point that your brakes lock up your tires, buy better tires and you will stop better.
Im just glad no one tried throwing in drilled and sloted rotors into the mix, thats a whole other story there.
If anything lighter rotors made from better materials in stock size would seriously intrest me. Also the idea of upgrading the master cylinder to maybe something off a mx6 or probe sounds good too.

you cant just throw on big rotors/calipers and have better brakes. You need to upgrade pads, master cylinder/booster, good quality synthetic brake fluid and some s/s lines.

Personally, I think that given the size and weight of our cars that at most, a four disc brake setup with factory sized rotors, a good set of PBRs or EBCs, and some stainless lines is the most you would ever need for good solid braking. If you are worrying about overheating, run some ducting channels onto your brakes.
Seriously, as much as big brakes would LOOK cool and bigger beefier calipers would LOOK cool, our little cars really would not have any needed benefit from larger brakes.
Hell, I have a tweaked out BP with stock rotors and PBRs and stock rear drums until I get my GS rear subframe, and I think the stopping power is still pretty damn good. Even compared to my BMW 325 that has 4 wheel Brembos and PBR pads.
I agree that better aftermarket support would be great, but bigger brakes is not necessarily as 'needed' a solution as some other items like maybe fuel delivery components or suspension solutions.
