Has anyone seen this dashboard style in right hand drive?

Post by daryl »

Hi,

HAS ANYONE SEEN THIS DASHBOARD IN RIGHT HAND DRIVE?

Image

Mazda is a Japanese car manufacturer and they use right hand drive cars, so it must exist!!!

If you can find any reference to this dashboard existing or a picture, please email it to me or post it here.

Thanks,
Daryl

As far as i knew it only ran state side i.e LHD. Dont know why it never made it over here, maybe the dash is shared from another LHD car and mazda used it to save som $$$$, or maybe it was just used to promote sales of the mx-3 state side. who knows ????

but im 99% sure you wont find a RHD one, otherwise im sure one of us UK guys would have plonked one in by now.

your have to get creative with your existing dash.

Not here either. The other style ran right through all models.

Those don't have vents that close like mine :P
I do like the vent style though and the more curvacious dash. Alot like my 00' Celica, and the bastards get a farkin cup holder. So not fair.

I don't think anyone else got them either.

Have a feeling that style dash really wasn't available outside of North America. I have a CD set of the official Mazda dealership Electronic Parts Catalogue (EPC), which cover worldwide Mazda parts EXCEPT North America (much to my disappointment.) Anyway, that '94/95/96 N.A. curvy dash does not appear in the parts diagrams for any non-north american MX-3 according to my EPC. I set the EPC database searches to cover many, but admittedly not every other country that parts listings are offered for. The program doesn't support searching parts for multiple simultaneous countries - have to reconfig to search one country at a time.

That is not correct.
I live in Portugal, and that dash is also available here.
But only on recent car's, 95 up i think...
I know this, because i was after a 1997 Mx3 V6 with a dash just like that, but the deal seems to be off, so now i can only buy a 1993 Mx3 v6, that has the old dash on it ...
