Post by PeaCheZ »

hey guys im having alittle bit of trouble here...i wanted to paint my back panels in my hatch...the panels that r right behind the speakers, they clip off, anywayz when i bought the car on the right side the clips were already broken off and the plastic panel just rattles...now they fell at the back !!! im trying the take that whole plastic peice off the right side where the compartment light is so i can get them and possibly replact them along the a brand new plastic panel top peice...but im having trouble removing that side...what can i do??

Not sure what you're actually asking? The panels aren't too hard to remove, IIRC you need to take the rearmost panel off first, and i think there's another screw/clip in the jack compartment
If you stick some foam tape where things connect to the body etc it should stop the rattles

This is what i would maybe do - take all the panels off - clean up back there and get the brackets out - mount the brackets properly - get new plastic push-lock thingies and install the panels back in the car (with foam tapes for extra vibration protection).

Please refer to the "Body" section in the online manual - especially page s-65 provides all the mount locations and shows page no.s for removal instructions.
