How many of you have no spare tire in your daily driver?

I noticed that a few people just have a can of fix-a-flat. I'd like to know how practical it is. Please let me know of positive/ negative experiences.

I don't but I wish I could.
I was stuck on a highway in the middle of nowhere without a cell phone and no spare.
Lucky for me I had a friend with me (with a mx-3) that let me borrowed her's :)
I had at least 3 flat and each time I was stuck, had to call my dad so he could bring one of the 10spare tires/rims I have at home. How ironic

I just carry a can of inflate-a-seal.... but as tunes67 pointed out to me you would only want to use that stuff on junk tires, not on your nice set of tires/rims

I used a small can of that stuff on our ride on lawn mower about a year ago and its still holding up, so it does work

Yeah, I've heard it works well, but... It balls up inside the tire, causing friction and heat that wears away the inside of the tire. I suppose that after using it, I could take the tire off and clean out the excess, and put it back on. I've used it before with no problems, but I can't seem to keep a car very long.
Thanks for the input

I've got one, but it's a PITA to get to with 150 lbs of audio equipment on top of it.

Realistically, a can of Fix a Flat should fix small leaks good enough to get to the nearest WalMart or tire store to repair the hole for $10. The ONLY place I've driven where there wasn't a Walmart within an hours drive was Utah, and I'll NEVER drive through there again.

I went all summer without a spare tire or can of fix-a-flat. But i live in a town that is built on a perfect grid, we have 55,000 people and it only takes 8minutes to get anywhere in town.

So if i had ever gotten a flat i would just phone home and get my father to bring the spare tire in the van.

Whenever i went outta town though and on drives on the highway i would put the spare tire back in the car.

I dont know if anyone else with a cell phone does this or its just me, but i turned the little loop hole on my cell phone thats ment to be hung from a lanyard, into a key-chain. so my cell phone just clips on and off of my key chain so i never leave the house without it incase i get stuck somewhere.

I still have my space-saver, but it's not easy to get to...

When I design a custom trunk, I'm going to incorporate a sub under my spare. I have a 5th matching rim/tire combo.

I carry a spare tire but don't like the wt. of it in the MX-3 (1.6 DOHC). Have discovered that I really don't need a spare though... until I do need one... so it stays.

I once drove on my stocker rims and defender tires with 0psi in both my rears., They didn't look flat at all, just a little low. I just noticed something was odd, the rear of the car seemed a little loose, even for driving in the snow. But i drove from Niagara to Toronto and back and was none the wiser

After I bought a set of 17" rims for my MX, I took out the factery spare tire and replaced it with one of the 14" factory rims. However, I checked it today and the tire on it is low on air.... I'm going to fill it up to about 35 psi tomorrow.
I'ld rather be safe than sorry than have my ride in a spot , not have a spare and where I could possibly be in danger. With, or without a cell phone.
If you fall, then get back up........Luck favors the prepared

Has anyone had a good experience with using the inflate-a-can stuff?
