Testing the water: Mazda OEM Side Sill Kit Group Buy

Post by jfrotary »

Hi everyone,

I'm making this post to chek if man of you would be interested in these skirts. It will be an exact COPY made of fiberglass. They will be gel coated white, if you absolutly want another color we can chek for an extra.

For the price I will ask around 300 but i still need to chek with material price... its sure more you will be, the lowest the price will be ...

They will be made of 2 layer of fiberglass and a third layer where the kit bolt to the car.

The mold is already done, i just want to know if they are enough people to do that because i dont want to do only 2 pairs and stay with all the material

here are some pic to be sure we are talking about the same skirts
thx

Well I think that before you start asking about group buys on one of the most desired & requested MX-3 sideskirts ever, you need to explain who you are, show some proof of previous work and show some proof that you are not a scammer.

Sorry man, but with only 1 post, what do you expect?

Yes, almost every MX-3 owner would love to have a set of those sideskirts.

Just a side note, $300 is really expensive for fiberglass side skirts. I paid $300 canadian for authentic urethane oem sides.

well i tried to gauge intrest on thies before, exact replica hand layed fiberglass, 3 layers for like 200 US a set. it was a no go i had no one who wanted any. so im making the molds now and will probably sell them on ebay set by set. i just know how desired they were and came across a set thought i would share the welth since they are clean looking and no aftermaket company has picked up on making them yet.

Sure, that is expensive, but I am sure that he is not doing this out of the goodness of his heart. He is doing it to make money and to give people a chance to buy something that some of them really want. Provided that he is not a scammer, I am sure that a few people will still be interested even at that high price. People who say that it is too expensive should try to take on a project like that and see how much TIME and money you have to put into making a quality mold and making sure that the damn things actually fit. I am not saying that you are wrong...it is pretty expensive...I'm just saying that it is justified if the product is of high quality and guaranteed someone will pay it. Just not me. :D

thx ccreech

I wrote 300 because I dont want to chek with material price and everything and come up with an higher price of what I told you ... it should a bit lower and as many as you will be the lowest they will be ...

the thing like ccreech said it's a lot of job to do that and to do them really perfectly you neeed to pus a lot of time on each skirts ...

to show you how the copy will be IDENTICAL i'll post pic before this week end for sur and you will have the EUNOS logo in the inside of the skirts on yours just like if they were original .

when you pay 200 for urethane skirts they are often USED because you take them from another car, mines are NEW. no scratch nothing.

The eurethane skirt aren't so expensive because when the mold is done its easy to press on a button and then get your skirt since urethane cannot be made my hands, with fiberglass its all work by hand.

im looking for us price ill post 2day

thx for comment
have a good day

Have you made things like this before? If so, post a link so that interested buyers can look at your work and possibly check out your reputation based on previous sales.

This forum is full of nice people but we are all highly sceptical of individuals who come here trying to sell. Some people were burned in the past and most people will not deal with you without good references and some form of proof. Pictures of side skirts being produced would be a good start...even better would be a picture of a finished product.
