opinions wanted on what to buy

Well, I would like to purchase a mx3. Never had one but I have had three 323's. But what one should I buy. Pickings are pretty slim on the east coast of Canada.

The first vehicle I found is '93 1.6sohc manual with 59,000kms, base model with only power mirrors for $3500

The second vehicle is a '96 GS 1.8dohc manual with 139,000kms, fully loaded with air, alloy wheels and spoiler for $3000

Which one should I get ? Im not really going to mod anything, just want a small car good on gas for the summer. I know the four cylinder would be better on gas but isn't the 1.6sohc gutless ?

The 96 will be a OBDII car and as such will make future mods far more difficult if that is something you are even considering. The SOHC engine is a bit gutless but its got a fair amount of torque to get you moving at the low end.

it really depends on what you want... the 1.6 has almost a third of the miles and gets better gas milage.... the 1.8 has more options and more power but a lot more milage and uses more gas...
