Advice on building up BPT motor to its full potential!!!!!!!

Does anybody have any words of wisdom for me on building up a BPTurbo motor before dropping it in my car?
WHat work should i do and how?

What it their potential for max horsepower? and how quick can they make an MX-3 when done right?

it all depends on how much money you have.

go get some forged pistions and rods, a huge a-- turbo, some sodium filled valves, a good machine shop, loads of cash, someone with ALOT of knowledge in this feild, some custome cams, solid lifters, and then maby some more money, some big a-- fuel injectors, alot of time. and just for good mesure, some more money.

And im guessing you COULD get it into the 600-700hp range.

But then you need some crazy a-- clutch, a custom made tranny that will take the strain. Some HELLA Beefy axels. and your car will be perhaps the fastest mx-3 ever.

Gee i think im up over 20 grand here.

So in the end, all it takes is money. and time. and money.

Like Bochek said.. sky's the limit. What you really need to think about is a budget build up. What are you willing to spend, etc., etc.

If you are that serious about the maximum power you can make you should really consider looking into a protege LX (91-94( swap or using a Miata motor (a BP that is 99+) and do a custom turbo setup on them from there. The LX motor will be a direct drop in and the miata will take a lot some custom fabrication (intake manifold points the wrong way), the BPT is a great motor but its port design is horrid in stock trim and needs heavy porting for best results.

The port desing in the miata is much more firendly for making power but is something that as stated above is not an easy task fiven you would have to have a custom intake manifold made; so it all boils down to how much money do you want to spend.

Set your goals, how much power do you want? Does it have to be streetable? Can you affoard to set a pile of 10000$ on fire and not think about it?

all it takes is money....there is ALOT more than u might think research find what parts u can get would be good and an imagination is also good. also i see ur 17 so i hope u have a good full time job cuz u will definitely need one if u wanna take on this task unless u got a few years to do this build up
