Eibach Springs
Eibach Springs
Ok this is a quick post, so feel free to delete it after i get my correct answere.
I'm getting ZX2 struts and Eibach Pro kit Springs
1) What car are they originaly made for? (Make/Model/Year/)
2) Do I use eibach prokit for the Mx-3 or for the car they're originaly made for?

there is only one model of ZX2, 98-03. (actually there is a ZX2 sport model, but the suspension is the same)
i'd suggest the ZX2 Eibach springs as they are exactly what the ZX2 struts are designed for.

the only differance woudl be the spring rates might be different. persionally i would get the MX3 springs, because they are designed for the mx3, where the the eibach's found with the ZX2's are designed for the escort. so they would work, and chances are they might be the same, but the mx3 is lighter and i would go with the MX3 eibach's, because i wouldent want to take any chances. if you find out what the weight distribution between front and rear are on both cars and then compaire the two, you could draw you solution from that.

i bought the pro kit springs for the protege and it dropped the car a little more than i wanted. it was supposed to be about 1.3" all around, but was more like 1.8". i just wanted a performance spring with a small drop. get the springs for the mx-3.

I have a set of the Eibach (Germany) 1.8L 323GT from when I did the T & E for Eibach. The spring rate is stiffer than the MX-3 car dropped 2.1" the standard ZX-2 and MX-3 spring have the same spring rate except the rear springs for the ZX-2 are about 1" taller. I like the MX-3 springs because of all the set springs sent to me they are the combination of springs I recommended in my T&E report.ovendenk wrote:i bought the pro kit springs for the protege and it dropped the car a little more than i wanted. it was supposed to be about 1.3" all around, but was more like 1.8". i just wanted a performance spring with a small drop. get the springs for the mx-3.
