they are correct if you have a mazda mx3 you have the right VAF but if you had to get one dont go to the mazda dealership just venture down to your local junkyard, the one here charges the same price as if it were a map sensor so you pay a whole 10 dollars ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

it depends wich ecu you'll runonderground_mx3 wrote:yes, i have a mx-3 and a it's a 6cyl now...i was just ocnfused as to wether the one for the KLZE is different or not
k8 and klze ecu = je-50 vaf wich is stock on mx-3's
klde ecu = kl01 vaf wich is stock on probe/mx6

It may be a bit confusing and I'll try to clarify without muddling it up. As in my previous post there were at least 2 different VAF/MAF's that were used in the ZE. I've explained the 2 and didn't cover the Lantis at all and I'm not sure what that configuration was.babyblueMX3 wrote:it depends wich ecu you'll runonderground_mx3 wrote:yes, i have a mx-3 and a it's a 6cyl now...i was just ocnfused as to wether the one for the KLZE is different or not

Blue explained the ECU/VAF relationship and I think that needs to be clarified. Before that, I'm going to assume that not only did the MS8 come with the JE50 VAF but that the Eunos 800 came with a MAF (# unknown) and here I will assume that it also came with a typical ZE ECU - KL31 or KL36. It's also understood that the Eunos 800 came mostly (or only as AFAIK) in an ATX and therefore would have come with a KL36 ECU - all previous points considered.
That said, regardles which ZE you acquire, a ZE ECU (KL31 of KL36) with a JE50 VAF will work fine. If you happen to source the original MAF from an Eunos 800 than I would recommend a KL36 ECU although I'm not 100% if the KL31 ECU would be any less of a better choice.
Slight mistake with the KLDE - A KL01 ECU (and there were other effective DE ECU's - # unknown at this time) will be happily complimented with a KL02 VAF (not a KL01 VAF - not sure if there is such a thing - sorry Steve!)

I know this is a myth or something but some MTX JDM cars came with KL36 ecu's
it was proven by a buddy of mine who bought a jdm front clip that was mtx and had a kl36 ecu with it and on ebay I saw a seller that was selling a kl36 ecu that said came off his mtx car (seller was in japan).
Probably that's why the kl36 work so good on our MTX cars.
