Grab the car for parts...

You get a G-series tranny, BP motor, rear disc brakes... any anything else you wanna take off it.

Well once you pull the engine for when you do the swap over, it should be no problem.

But you might wanna get your head shaved/decked... just to clean up any imperfections.

Grab a Chilton's or Haynes manual and it'll walk you thru it, or just search on the net, cause there's lots of stuff.

Not necesisarily.

The mileage on the engine does not always correctly indicate the condition.
My old sohc had 2xx,xxx miles on it and still had 130 compression accross.

Cant hurt to go and look, pop the valve cover off and see if you can see anything through the chocalate milk :D

You can't even pick up all those parts for $200...

yea but i plan on boosting the engine later on, and i dont wanna increase the mileage on my car. ill jus have to save up cash this summer n go j/y shopping is all. im not really worried. sides i dont have newheres to store the car for now so i can access it to work on. if the mileage had been decent enough, i had a few people i could call, but there more of a last minute, emergency only, if hell froze over sorta deal
