i have a rockford amp im wondering what i should set my gain / freq dials to?

fyi, you should try not to clutter up the forum with multiple related threads. this should have been included with your other post i helped you out with.

**edit: just noticed that you had this in your other thread. why the double post?**

to set the gain, you need to start with the gain at zero. put the volume of your deck to max comfortable volume, then adjust the gain on the amp to the max level you would want. with rockford amps, you get a boost controller to add or remove bass as you need. this should be in the middle position while adjusting the gain.

to set the freq, check the freq range for the subs off the rockfordfosgate.com website and make sure you have the freq set less than the max of the subs. basically, it's a comfort thing.

there will be numerous people having their own way of doing this, to each their own. there is no set way of doing this.
