Dash rattle aaaaaaargh!

Any tips on fixing my annoying dash rattle, its the pre facelift dash. The rattle is coming from the surround of the speedo rev metre etc. The 3 scews are tight i checked them.

Does the rattle vary with speed?

If it does, its most likely your spedometer cable, mazda's are known for it. You might be able to get away with just cleaning and lubing it, but you might have to replace it.

its not that i doubt its the cable, cuz if u hold the dash firm while driving with one hand it stops

mine does the same thing from the center of the dash, they call me loose change so yes I did it, I stuck 4 quarters in the gap and well rattle is gone, so if you wanted a clean fix I would say the dash is sticking out too far, either fill in the gap with something safe (ie. silicone or something) so it's out of sight, but mine only does it in certain weather conditions, is it getting cold and hot and whatnot where you are?
